Inter Milan have turned their heads to Manchester City’s Stevan Jovetic, who was given very limited playing time and could be finding it hard to fit into the squad, Mirror reports.
The Italian side are going through a squad overhaul with hopes of bringing them back to their former glory and challenge both domestically as well as on the European stage.
Jovetic’s first campaign in England was halted by injuries which saw him given only five starts, netting six times in the process.
His first five seasons at previous club Fiorentina was very successful, with the Montenegro forward scoring 35 goals in 116 league games before his move to the Etihad.
Erick Thohir, the Inter owner, has selected the striker as a potential reinforcement and with his Serie A experience, a return to the league could be quite possible.
However, Manuel Pellegrini will try his best to reject the move despite the player regarded as fourth choice behind Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko, and Alvaro Negredo.
