Samir Handanovic has distanced himself from rumours of a summer move to Manchester City by claiming that his future is with Inter Milan.
The Slovenia international has recently emerged as a top target for Manuel Pellegrini, with the Sky Blues boss said to be keen to draft in a new goalkeeper.
Despite having recalled Joe Hart after an early season first-team exodus, the Chilean is said to have a lack of faith in his current number one as it stands, and is desperate to provide him with competition to get him back to his very best.
Handanovic is seen as a good addition, with the experienced glovesman regarded as a better option than current backup man Costel Pantilimon.
But the 29-year-old says that he is not considering a move away from Inter:
“My future Is Inter, I do not contemplate an exit.” He is quoted by talkSPORT.
Hart was dropped earlier this season on the back of a number of high-profile errors, but he has regained his place and is still considered to be an important player at City.
As well as Handanovic, Real Madrid’s Iker Casillas and Willy Caballero of Malaga have been linked with moves to the Etihad Stadium.
