Southampton manager Ronald Koeman is eyeing Manchester United wonderkid Demetri Mitchell to join him in his bid to rebuild his squad after losing a majority of his star players, Mirror reports.
The 17-year-old could be a possible loan target for Southampton after gathering a lot of interest from a host of European clubs with his recent displays.
United boss Louis van Gaal has also seen him play and has even gave him praise after seeing Mitchell net four goals in the 2014 Milk Cup for the youth squad.
His pace and dribbling ability has already earned him a place in the England U-17 squad and could now be playing a part in the English Premier League should the Red Devils let him be loaned out to join the Saints.
With interest for the player growing, he is set to be given a new contract to ensure he remains at Old Trafford as he begins to make his way into the senior squad.
