Southampton boss Ronald Koeman is keeping an eye in unwanted Manchester United threesome Javier Hernandez, Wilfried Zaha and Ashley Young as he plots a £70m transfer spree, according to reports from the Daily Mail.
The Saints have been demolished by rivals sides in recent weeks, with Luke Shaw having gone to Old Trafford, Callum Chambers to Arsenal and star trio Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren and Rickie Lambert all now at Liverpool.
Koeman may also lose Morgan Schneiderlin and Jay Rodriguez, but he has been promised funds to follow up moves for Graziano Pelle and Dusan Tadic with the South Coast club aware that players will be needed if they are to avoid a relegation battle.
The Dutchman is desperate to address attacking concerns, and has made Hernandez, Young and Zaha three of his top targets.
The former is thought to be at the top of the list, with the Mexican boasting an impressive scoring record.
Chicharito is known to be ready to quit United in search of regular action, and is also wanted by Inter Milan.
Zaha and Young are also on his radar, with a move for at least one likely.
Koeman is willing to see whom Louis van Gaal is ready to sacrifice.
Southampton also want Celtic pair Fraser Forster and Virgil van Dijk as well as Aston Villa’s commanding defender Ron Vlaar.
