Hull City have accepted a £12million offer from Southampton over the potential move for Shane Long, Skysports reports.
The 27-year-old striker only joined his current club in January for around £7.5million from West Brom, but it looks as though they will get almost double his amount from the switch.
Long played 15 games under Steve Bruce, netting four times in the process and is now likely to join Ronald Koeman as the Dutch manager begins to rebuild his Saints squad after the departure of six players.
Should he make the move, he will probably be deployed alongside new strike partner Graziano Pelle who also recently joined the side from Feyenoord.
Koeman turned to the likes of Long after he failed in the chase for want-away Manchester United star Javier Hernandez.
The Mexican attacker rejected the offer because he is believed to be wanting to join a team that can offer him Champions League football.
