The move to bring Luke Shaw from Southampton to Manchester United looks set to be confirmed after he completed his medical, The Guardian reports.
His transfer to Old Trafford is said to cost around £27 million plus adds-ons and would become Louis van Gaal’s second signing in a matter of days, as he also recently confirmed that Ander Herrera will be joining the side as well.
The Saint’s valued Shaw at £30 million, but negotiations were put on hold after the club tabled their initial bid with the player leaving for international duties at the World Cup in Brazil.
However, a deal is said to have been agreed upon his return after the England squad were eliminated early from the tournament, where the left back picked up his third national cap.
At only 18, Shaw has already made 60 appearances in the English Premier League and is ready to compete for places against the Red Devils current left back, Patrice Evra.
