Manchester United are now considering a potential £5.5million bid for Anderson made by Sporting Lisbon less than a week after Nani joined the side on a season long loan, Express reports.

The Portuguese club have declared interest in the Brazilian midfielder, who has failed to make any impact over the course of his seven seasons at Old Trafford.

Nani has already made the switch to Lisbon in a deal which sees United having to pay all of his £4.8million wages for the rest of the campaign.

Anderson joined the Red Devils for a huge £20million price-tag, but could leave for a mere £5.5million after Louis van Gaal revealed the 26-year-old is likely not to feature in his plans.

He only recently returned from a loan spell at Serie A side Fiorentina, but once again didn’t impress his new side after only appearing in seven matches.

With less than two weeks left until the close of the current transfer window, Lisbon are said to be willing to pay the full amount in order to sign him before deadline day on the 1st of September.

Let him go, i can’t believe he is still at the club, i think that the presence of players like Anderson and Nani over the last few years have introduced a sloppiness into the team, a real watering down of passion and quality that has spread to some other players that should be performing better than they do, good riddance i say, there are still a few shirkers left in the squad, i’m sure the manager knows who they are, lets just hope Mr Ed can find quality replacements for them and fast or he might be the next big name departure.
