Stoke City have now confirmed the signing of former Manchester United striker Mame Biram Diouf by bringing him over to England, TalkSPORT reports.
The club has previously been tracking the situation of the Senegalese forward and is now set to join the squad on a four-year deal after his current contract at Hannover comes to end on the first of July.
Diouf, 26, had been in great for for the Bundesliga side, scoring 25 goals in 57 appearances in all competitions over the course of two seasons.
Chief executive Tony Scholes told stokecityfc.com: “It’s no secret that Mame is someone we have been looking to bring to the club for some time.
“Mark Hughes has wanted to sign Mame since he took over as manager last year. We tried to get him last summer and made another attempt in January, so we’re naturally delighted to have finally secured his services.
“He has been a tremendous success in Germany as his record underlines and he is keen to return to England and make an impact in the Premier League.
