Capital One Cup winners Swansea City face a summer battle to keep defender Ashley Williams, who is wanted by a host of Premier League clubs.

Ashley Williams captained his Swansea side to victory yesterday in their 5-0 win over Bradford City which means the Welsh side have qualified for a Europa place, but he may well be playing with another club when their first game comes around next season.

The highly rated defender has played with Swansea for almost five years, but with teams such as Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham all vying for his signature, Swansea may have no choice but to sell, according to the Metro.

Michael Laudrup wants to keep Williams at the Liberty Stadium, but Swansea would find it hard to turn down big-money offers for the defender whose current contract runs out in May 2015.
