Swansea City have placed a shock bid for sought after Blackpool winger Thomas Ince according to talkSPORT.

Manchester United and Liverpool were set to go head to head for the 20-year-olds signature but the Swans haven’t read the script by placing a tempting £7million bid last night.

Guaranteed first team football could be a huge attraction to Swansea for the England under-21 international but a reunion at Anfield may be too good to turn down.

The Reds are thought to have had a £5million rejected by Blackpool earlier this month but it may be harder for the small Championship outfit to turn down the Welsh club’s approach.

Michael Laudrup has continued to improve the South Wales club this season and signing of the season Michu shows his intelligence in the transfer market is exceptional.

Blackpool are without a manager after losing Michael Appleton to Blackburn just 12 games into his reign and that added turmoil could convince Ince to make an immediate decision.
