Eden Hazard has been urged to quit Chelsea for Paris St Germain in the summer by Thiago Silva, reports the Express.
Hazard has been in excellent form lately, and was described as the best young player in the world by Jose Mourinho, after scoring a hat trick in the 3-0 win over Newcastle on Saturday.
The Belgian was quietly linked with a move to the big-spending French champions in January, although Chelsea have no desire to cash in.
Now, Brazilian defender Silva has looked to add fuel to the speculation, by insisting the club should try and go after Hazard during the summer.
“It’s normal that a president discusses [transfers] with the players,” Silva told French paperL’Equipe.
“When there is a new name that comes out in the press, the president discusses it with us.
“Sometimes, I speak directly to Zlatan [Ibrahimovic]. It’s normal to ask ourselves if a player can make us us stronger.
“I would welcome [Hazard] with open arms, like we did with all our recruits.
“We need players like him to achieve our project and win everything. He is so strong tactically and technically. All the great players are welcome in Paris.”
