Arsenal played out a 0-0 draw with struggling Manchester United at the Emirates this evening.

The result meant the Gunners were unable to leapfrog Chelsea at the top of the table, having slipped from top spot after winning just one game – against lowly Crystal Palace – in their last four.

The home side dominated United for the majority of the game though were unable to get themselves on the scoresheet and towards the end were thankful for Wojceich Szczesny’s wondersave denying Robin van Persie.

With just 12 games left this season to rediscover their winning touch, here’s what Arsenal need to do to challenge for the Premier League title…

1) Give Mesut Ozil something to work with. Sure, he hasn’t been producing like a £42m pound man, but he hasn’t had much support.

2) Get someone on the medical team at London Colney to pull Olivier Giroud’s finger out.

3) Get Lukas Podolski back in the starting line-up. The Germans’s goals, maturity and history of performing at the highest level are exactly what’s needed when Arsenal’s season goes from push to shove.
