Valencia defender Adil Rami is on the verge of a permanent switch to AC Milan, as reported by Sky Sports.
Rami enjoyed a successful five months on loan with the Serie A club last season and was expected to join permanently when the season ended.
However the two clubs could not agree a deal and so numerous sides around Europe expressed their interest in the Los Che 28-year-old who is available for less than £4million.
“The player will be at (Milan’s headquarters) Milanello with the rest of the squad on Friday,” Galliani told Gazzetta dello Sport. “We don’t have the signature yet, as the president is busy, but the agreement is very close to completion.
“We improved our offer to Valencia, as the difference was paid by the player to ensure the transfer.
“He deserves a lot of credit for that.”
