Inter Milan are in negotiations with Tottenham Hotspur over a potential swap deal involving Roberto Soldado plus £10million in order to sign Fredy Guarin, Talksport reports.
Mauricio Pochettino was close to a £14million cash deal to see the Colombian star move to the Premier League, but the Serie A side decided they wanted to lower his price if they could include their star striker in the deal.
Soldado was on the verge of a switch back to Spain with Atletico Madrid interested after failing to impress last season, scoring only six goals in 28 league appearances.
However, after managing to net three pre-season goals, it looks as though Pochettino was open to keeping him at White Hart Lane in order to prove himself.
Guarin, 28, has been a target for Spurs over the course of the summer after impressing in Italy last season with four goals and nine assists in 31 matches.
