Tottenham Hotspur are looking at Ben Foster as Hugo Lloris’ replacement if the Frenchman was to leave White Hart Lane this summer, Mirror reports.
Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint Germain are expected to move for Lloris and bring him back to his homeland, with Spurs keeping an eye on the West Bromwich Albion star.
The England international keeper has become the Lilywhite’s top transfer target in their mission to fill the 26-year-old’s gloves.
And West Brom confirmed Spurs’ interest in Foster after a sensational display when the two sides met on Saturday, despite the goalkeeper losing three goals.
Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood praised Foster as the ‘man of the match’, but said that the decision to make a move was made higher up in the Spurs hierarchy.
They are also looking at other alternatives if Lloris does depart White Hart Lane.
Manchester City’s Joe Hart has been mentioned, but could be out of Spurs’ price range therefore making Ben Foster the perfect candidate.
Tottenham Hotspur will continue their push for a top four finish when they host relegation battlers Fulham this Saturday.
