Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is ready to splash £45million to sign Morgan Schneiderlin from Southampton and Wilfried Bony from Swansea City, according to the Daily Mirror.
Schneiderlin is a player Pochettino knows well from his time at Southampton, and despite having a bid rejected for the France international, the Tottenham boss remains confident and improved bid of £20million will see him get his man.
Tottenham are also set to step up their pursuit of Swansea striker Wilfried Bony, despite Swansea boss Garry Monk claiming it would take an ‘astronomical offer’ to see the club part with the Ivory Coast international.
Bony joined Swansea from Vitesse Arnham last summer, and scored a superb 35 goals in 48 matches in all competitions.
Tottenham have been relatively quiet in the transfer market this summer, with Ben Davies and Michel Vorm already moving from Swansea, and Erik Dier signing from Sporting Lisbon.
Pochettino has now targeted a new striker to share the goal scoring burden with Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado, and a defensive midfielder.
Daniel Levy has made it clear he will back his new manager with the signings he want before the big Premier League kick off, and has made £45million available in order to land both targets.
