Leandro Damiao has intended his ambition to see out his contract at Internacional after the Brazilian admitted that Tottenham are the only club to have ever made an offer, according to The Daily Mail.

Damiao who is reportedly being targeted by a wealth of European clubs including Real Madrid, Tottenham and Juventus spoke to Brazilian based Sportv, “I’m glad for the interest and enquiries but the only official offer was made by Tottenham”.

Ex-Spurs boss Harry Redknapp was a long term admirer of Damiao and had a £12 million bid rejected two years ago.

The 22-year old striker continued, “If there are other offers then we’ll talk, but for now I’m not worried. Internacional gave all the best conditions for our work.”

“I’m in a great moment right now and I intend to stay at Internacional until 2014, unless there is a good offer that is good for Internacional, not only for me.”

Damiao has an impressive goal-scoring record for his Porto Alegre based club. The striker has also obtained 9 caps for Brazil, scoring one goal. Damiao was thought to be making the switch from South America to Europe this summer, but his latest announcement indicates that he would be more than happy to stay in his homeland.
