Loic Remy still wants to leave QPR this summer, according to club hero Marc Bircham.
The French striker has returned to Loftus Road this summer after a loan spell at Newcastle, but has been linked with a switch.
Liverpool almost secured his signature, but an £8.5m deal collapsed due to issues arising from his medical, while Arsenal have also been watching.
Now Spurs are said to be the frontrunners, with Mauricio Pochettino hunting for a new striker.
Although Harry Redknapp has maintained that Remy could well be staying and that he’s not angling at a transfer, Bircham thinks that the striker does want out:
“I don’t think he’ll want to stay [at Queens Park Rangers],” he talkSPORT.
“With him being at Newcastle last season and the Liverpool deal falling through I think you’ve got to look at it, as a club, thinking he wants to get away.
“If he does stay it’s probably because no one has come through with [a bid for him].
“I don’t think he’s going to be kissing the badge or anything but QPR need to use him and he’ll need use the club to get that move and maybe go in January.”
