Paris Saint-Germain star Ezequiel Lavezzi is ready to reject a move to Liverpool, hoping to sign for Juventus instead, Metro reports.
The Reds are extremely keen on landing a striker after they sold Luis Suarez to Barcelona and saw their £8.5million deal for Loic Remy fall through last week.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has targeted PSG forward Lavezzi as Remy’s alternative, reportedly considering an £18million offer with the French club looking to sell players in order to bring in Real Madrid’s Angel di Maria.
However it seems that Lavezzi prefers a move to Serie A giants Juventus over Liverpool in the case he is forced out this summer.
The Ligue-1 champions are extremely keen on signing Di Maria but need to offload players before they can buy to avoid breaking any of UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations.
The winger will cost the Parisian club £63million, and will therefore need to raise some funds to help balance their books.
Lavezzi was a £24million purchase from Napoli back in 2012, scoring nine goals for PSG last season.
