Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur could be back in the race to sign Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata after the club’s president played down a possible move to Juventus, Daily Star reports.
Florentino Perez admitted that the move for Morata to join the Serie A champions will surely not happen, reigniting interest from the Premier League giants, dispelling recent reports stating that the deal was in it’s final stages.
Perez said: “I am friends with the Juventus executives and president Andrea Agnelli.
“But I have not spoken to them regarding Morata and, honestly, the possibilities that he goes to play in Turin are zero.
“I will meet the player and we will try to find the best solution for him and for the club.”
Morata only made three starts for Madrid this season, mainly due to intense competition for an attacking role against the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, and Gareth Bale.
He recently admitted to desiring more playing time with several teams hoping to acquire the services of the 21-year-old striker, who only has a year left on his current deal.
