At such an important but precarious stage in the Premier League season, managerial changes aren’t considered to be the most logical way to help struggling sides pull away from the bottom three.
But Norwich City‘s decision to replace Chris Hughton with rookie Neil Adams with just five games to in the season has been met with the general feeling amongst Canaries fans that the club made the right choice.
According to Pitch Social Insight, Norwich fans are positive that Adams can steer the club away from the bottom three and secure another season of top-flight football at Carrow Road.
Positive sentiment around Adams on Twitter currently stands at 83.8% since his appointment, proving the fans are well behind the former academy coach to get the club out of trouble between now and the end of the season.
However, the same cannot be said about the club in general, with positive sentiment as low as 52.7% since Hughton’s sacking, with Tuesday even recording a low of 32%. In comparison, this figure was at 82% just a month ago.
This indicates the fans are becoming to lose trust and patience with Norwich’s senior management, with chief-executive David McNally becoming increasingly under fire.
