Terry is out of contract this summer after signing a one-year deal this time last year and the former England man can talk with foreign clubs from January onwards over a deal at the end of the season.
Galatasaray are trying to make themselves one of Europe’s powerhouses and new boss Roberto Mancini wants Terry to be his leader.
Terry’s former team mate Didier Drogba and Dutchman Wesley Sneijder are already strutting their stuff for Mancini’s side but defensive options are slack.
The Turks are proposing a two year deal for the 32 year old worth £3.2million per annum with an option of a third year.
This deal would give Terry security instead of being handed an expected one year deal at Stamford Bridge to stay on.
Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole are in a similar position to Terry and they too can be approached in January about a free move abroad in the summer.
