Southampton could lose yet another player after West Bromwich Albion are believed to be monitoring midfielder Jack Cork, Express reports.
With West Brom’s Claudio Yacob gathering interest from a host of clubs, Alan Irvine sees the Saints star as the perfect candidate to replace him.
However, club chairman Ralph Krueger will be doing all he can to keep Cork at the St Mary’s Stadium after seeing most of his starting eleven leave.
He now has generated about £92 million in funds from the sale of Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert, Luke Shaw, Calum Chambers, and Dejan Lovren, all to other English Premier League sides.
Krueger has also seemed to have lost the support from his players after seeing Morgan Schneiderlin react badly to reports saying that he will not let him leave.
Should the move for the 25-year-old Englishman fail, Irvine has other options as he may add Manchester City midfieder Jack Rodwell to his squad with a possible loan move.
