West Ham United could continue their summer transfer spree after targeting French international Mathieu Valbuena, Daily Mail reports.
Currently valued at £8million, the Marseille midfielder has recently revealed his willingness on a move to the English Premier League.
The 29-year-old has been in great form for the France squad who recently beat Nigeria 2-0 to book their place in the World Cup quarter finals.
Valbuena is now being linked with a majority of European clubs, with Arsenal, Liverpool, Valencia, Fiorentina, and Napoli all interested in what he has to offer.
His agent also stated that he could leave the Ligue 1 side after he finishes his duties in Brazil.
“He has a contract with Marseille and they are not a small club, they are a big club in France.’ Jean-Pierre Bernes told French radio station Europe 1.
“But it is true that given his performances, and if there is the opportunity with a club, it is something we will examine and Marseille as well.
“Nothing is set, there is no destination fixed, there are contact with certain clubs in different European leagues.”
