In a World Cup that has so far been characterised by goals and impressive attacking play, Mexican goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa earned the man of the match award yesterday for his heroics in keeping Brazil at bay. The reported Arsenal and Liverpool target made a number of outstanding stops to frustrate the hosts in the 0-0 draw in Fortaleza.
After last night’s performance and a clean sheet in the opening match against Cameroon, fans of both clubs took to Twitter to urge Arsene Wenger and Brendan Rodgers respectively to consider making moves for the 28 year old shot-stopper. With his contract at AC Ajaccio expiring at the end of the month, Ochoa is available on a free transfer this summer.
