Tottenham loanee wanted as a permanent deal

Hull boss Steve Bruce has made turning Jake Livermore’s loan move to the KC Stadium from Tottenham a permanent one a summer priority, according to reports from the Hull Daily Mail.

The midfielder has been in excellent form for the newly promoted Tigers since completing a temporary switch away from London just over six months ago, forming an impressive central partnership with Tom Huddlestone – also a ex-Spurs player.

Although there were rumours circulating on transfer deadline day that Tim Sherwood may re-call Livermore, the 24-year-old will remain a Hull player for the remainder of the season.

But if Bruce’s men avoid the drop, the former Wigan and Sunderland chief will make a serious effort to snap him up permanently.

It is understood that he has already begun drafting up plans ahead of the summer, with survival and a another season in the top tier a genuine possibility on the back of a fine opening half of the season.

Livermore himself may also be open to a deal, with midfielder’s future far from clear at White Hart Lane.

Despite Sherwood being a fan of the rangy ace, Tottenham have a wealth of options in the position.
