Chelsea failed to capitalise on Tottenham Hotspur's defeat to Liverpool on Saturday, dropping two points of their own against a spirited Burnley side at Turf Moor on Sunday.
Initially looking like they would roll over the Clarets in a similar fashion to most other sides they've faced this season, Pedro's opener was cancelled out by a wonderful Robbie Brady effort.
Sean Dyche's men were superb across the ninety minutes and made sure Chelsea made the trip back to London knowing that there are no easy points to be found on their patch.
In the end, Antonio Conte had to be happy with a draw and they have now moved ten points clear of Spurs at the top of the table.
An engrossing fixture from start to finish, it was a competitive ninety minutes that we couldn't take our eyes off.
Here are FIVE photos summed up all the action at Turf Moor...
Punishing Pedro
When Chelsea surged to a 1-0 lead within seven minutes then you'd have probably forgiven Burnley supporters for thinking it was going to be a long afternoon.
Conte's side threatened to do to Burnley what they've done to most other sides this season, obliterate them in front of their own fans.
Luckily for the Clarets it was a lead Chelsea would fail to build on before or after Burnley's incredible equaliser...
Brady's beauty
Robbie Brady's beauty of a free-kick that sailed past Courtois was the undoubted highlight of the entire game and showed why Burnley were so keen to break their club transfer record to land the Republic of Ireland international from Norwich City in January.
It was a tremendous way to mark his first full debut with the club and not a bad way to introduce himself to his new home supporters either.
Crucial Courtois
Burnley could have went ahead in the match through Matt Lowton had Thibaut Courtois not been there to make a smart stop in the Chelsea goals.
Courtois proved again he is a vital part of Conte's side, even when not having to put together a string of excellent saves.
It's his concentration that is so impressive, always needing to be ready despite going through large spells of matches without touching the ball due to Chelsea's dominance in possession.
Conte's frustration
Antonio Conte was undoubtedly frustrated with his team's performance, especially in a second half where they failed to register any shots on target whatsoever.
It was a pretty dismal forty-five minutes for the Blues truth be told as Sean Dyche's men dug in and brought the game to the favourites for the title on the counter-attack.
On another day they'd have made their possession count, but they just couldn't make things click in the final third, much to the dismay of the passionate Italian manager.
Keane's strength
A big part of the reason Chelsea were so toothless in the final third was because of Michael Keane's performance. The English defender played a starring role in denying Chelsea from scoring any further goals past Pedro's opener.
Strong in the block, in the air and in the tackle, there was no way round the 24 year old for the Blues' star studded attack.
If he can keep up that level of performance then it won't be too long until big clubs knocking on Sean Dyche's door looking to do a deal for the impressive centre-back.
