It seems you can’t keep Gareth Bale off the back pages these days, but where as he’s courted his fair share of controversy this term, you simply cannot escape the sustained quality of his performances for Andre Villas-Boas’ side.
Following a slow start to the season by his high standards, Bale’s grown in prominence as the season’s gone on and with Spurs now pushing on for a top four finish, the Welshman appears to have hit top gear.
With 11 league goals, Bale has already produced a career-high goal return but with 13 games still left to pay, who knows how many the ex-Southampton man can go on to put away?
Whether he’s been out on the wing or playing more centrally, Bale has scorched just about everything that’s been put in his way within recent months and whether he’s away to Manchester United or at home to one of the lesser teams, the quality more or less tends to be the same.
