Liverpool visit Hull City on Saturday knowing that they need a win to reverse the slump they find themselves in.

Things aren't quite going to plan for Jurgen Klopp right now. Over the last six weeks he's seen his side regress from title contenders to a team that is struggling to hold onto its top four status.

The Reds can't buy a Premier League win right now and drew again mid-week, although it was against the incredibly impressive Chelsea. That 1-1 result at least saw a slight uptick in performance and they'll be hoping to take that into the match at the KCOM Stadium.

On paper it should be a routine win for Klopp's side. Hull City are second bottom, just one point above Sunderland. Added to that they've just lost their key creative force, Robert Snodgrass, to West Ham United.

We all know though that matches aren't played on paper and the Tigers have a fighting chance of securing a result against Liverpool. Here are THREE stats that show Hull City could beat Liverpool on Saturday...

35 Days

By the time Liverpool take the pitch against Hull, it will be 35 days since they last won a Premier League game. Klopp's side had a dire January, playing nine games and only winning one.

That victory came against League Two side Plymouth in the FA Cup and eventually became redundant as they were dumped out of the competition in the next round against Wolves.

The 1-0 win over Manchester City on New Years Eve feels like a long, long way away now and losing, or even just failing to win, will pile more pressure on Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool's poor form opens the door for Hull City to pick up a massive victory and give their survival hopes a big boost. Silva's side have shown over the last two weeks they have what it takes to compete against the big teams, having beaten Manchester United in the League Cup and gone on to secure a point against Mourinho's side at Old Trafford on Wednesday.

Recent history

If Liverpool think it's all going to go their own way on Saturday then they only need to look at recent history against Hull at the KCOM Stadium. The Reds haven't won away to Hull since back in 2009 and have lost their last two against them on the road.

In this fixture in 2014/15, Klopp's side fell to a 1-0 defeat thanks to a Michael Dawson goal. It was a victory that became a key moment in destroying Liverpool's hopes of Champions League football.

With similar goals at stake this season, it's a win that could inspire Silva's side to play beyond themselves and secure a huge result.

Hull at home

Hull have only lost one of their last nine matches at home in all competitions. Despite struggling on the road this season, they've been impressively solid in front of their own supporters, especially over the last two months.

Their last home game in the Premier League was against Bournemouth, which they impressively won 3-1 despite falling behind in the third minute. They'll need that kind of fighting spirit against Liverpool.

In Liverpool's last away game in the Premier League, against Hull's fellow relegation strugglers Sunderland, they slipped. Unable to kill off the Black Cats, they laboured to a 2-2 draw after conceding a late penalty.

That'll give Silva's side hope that they too can pick up points and move clear of Sunderland at the bottom of the table.
