During his long, colourful managerial career, there has always been a perception of England boss Roy Hodgson as being something of a calm, measured and mild-tempered manager, more likely to sit quietly in his dugout analysing the game than rush out into the technical area bellowing orders and squaring up to opposition players, Alan Pardew-style.
Until now, that is.
Clearly fed up with his team’s listless performances in the World Cup this summer, Roy has decided that enough is enough, letting his inner beast go in this intense motivational video clip to the tune of The Prodigy’s ‘Firestarter’, intended to give his players the kick up the backside that they need before they embark on their European Championship qualifying campaign.
While most of the squad have responded well to Hodgson’s new-found vivacity, rumours are abound that Daniel Sturridge is not too pleased, believing that his boss’s dance routine is a serious threat to his own.
We’re just lucky that Roy opted for this video instead of Miley Cyrus’s ‘Wrecking Ball’…
Roy's a firestarter. Twisted firestarter. https://t.co/mVpQNFtaFS
