Opportunity missed by Google Chrome.I’m surpsired they haven’t pushed it more. They put it on the Google page briefly, then pulled it and I barely noticed the small static ad on the main search page. Wow, huge opportunity missed. They could have put a beautiful flash banner on google.com complete break of style, etc (would cause uproar? but gets attention!), but if you want to launch a new browser, you need to advertise it heavily and Google have that ability more than anyone for free, no less. So what are they doing? As a regular marketer/promoter of websites and retail products, I’m confused. As a web programmer, I’ll seriously test out my websites for compatibility with IE 6&7, FF, Opera and Safari. If I find a bug specifically with Chrome, at 1%, I won’t break myself to find and fix it.
