West Ham will be looking to continue their impressive streak of form as of late. The Hammers will be looking to capitalise on a Liverpool side without Luis Suarez as they look to add another Premier League scalp to their name following their 3-1 victory over Chelsea last week.

Only Arsenal have come away from Upton Park this season with all 3 points to boot. The East Londoners will be looking to match their last display against the Reds where they secured a win by a comfortable two goal margin.

Carlton Cole will be a given an opportunity to lead the line with Andy Carroll injured, but he would have been ineligible anyway for the fixture against his parent club.

Liverpool have only lost once in 10 Premier League games but have still only have one win on their travels all season. As a result they sit in 11th place in the table going into this Sunday’s game.

Sam Allardyce will welcome Yossi Benayoun back into the fold for this fixture, as he was ineligible for the Hammers last outing against Chelsea. Andy Carroll could be out for up to two months with a knee injury even if that would have been irrelevant to this fixture. Ricardo Vaz Te (shoulder), Alou Diarra (thigh) and Jack Collison (knee) are all suffering from injuries too and unable to feature here.

Liverpool will be without Luis Suarez following the Uruguayan picking up his fifth booking of the season resulting in an automatic one game suspension. Gerrard, Agger and Lucas Leiva are expected to return to the side with all three players rested for Liverpool’s 1-0 Europa League win over Udinese on Thursday.

Liverpool  will be keen to pick up a 2nd away win of the season, aware that the last time they had fewer points from their opening 15 games was 1964-65 (based on three points for a win).

Prediction: West Ham 2-0 Liverpool
