Premier League Preview: Fulham V Man City

Rene Meulensteen (Fulham)Fulham were woeful last weekend at Everton, having conceded four goals and only managing to score one themselves. With Manuel Pellegrini’s men scoring nine in their last two games, Rene Meulensteen will be hoping that Man City will be jaded after their Capital One Cup victory away to Leicester City.

The absent Sergio Aguero will make life a bit easier at Craven Cottage this weekend; however Man City will still have Alvaro Negredo starting, after he was rested in midweek. The Cottagers have lost five of their opening eight home games; however Man City’s league position has been pegged back due to their struggles on the road.

Pablo Zabaleta will also miss the trip to Craven Cottage with a hamstring injury that he picked up away at Leicester, which could see Manuel Pellegrini struggle to pick his right back, with Micah Richards still struggling for fitness with a hamstring injury of his own.

Man City could struggle with this new injury to their Argentine right-back and if Fulham can stay organised at the back, they could nick a point against Man City and continue their run of poor form away from the Etihad.

Fulham v Man City Pre-Match Stats

Fulham have managed just one clean sheet in their 22 Barclays Premier League games against City and none in the last 18 meetings.

Manchester City have won six and lost none of the last nine matches with Fulham in all competitions.
