Premier League LIVE: West Ham United vs. Swansea

    Probable Lineups:

shelvey dyerWest Ham United (4-5-1): Adrián, Demel, Collins, Johnson, Rat, Collison, Nolan, Noble, Downing, Carroll, Jarvis

A very strong defensive display against Chelsea will give comfort to Sam Allardyce, as they came away from the Bridge with a point ahead of a favorable run of fixtures.   Matt Jarvis should return to the lineup for this game to deliver the ammunition for a now fit again Andy Carroll.   New signing Marco Borriello has yet to play for the Hammers.

Swansea City (4-4-1-1): Tremmel, Rangel, Williams, Chico, Davies, Hernández, De Guzmán, Britton, Routledge, Shelvey, Bony

Jonathan De Guzmán and Pablo Hernández returned to the side after injured layoffs and it payed instant dividends as Swansea put Fulham aside with a convincing 2-0 win.  Long term absentee Michu is closing to a comeback but shouldn’t make it in time for this trip to Upton Park.

    What the fans are saying…
    Remember this?

Michu was a relatively unknown player before scoring in his second successive game in the EPL against West Ham.  Rise of a star.

    Fantasy Football Danger Man

    collins

With both sides playing very different styles of football, expect West Ham to hold it tight at the back at home against a Swansea side that keeps possession but lack creativity in the final third.  A clean sheet looks on the cards for the Hammers and priced at only 4.1 in the Official Fantasy Premier League game, James Collins is your man.

Stats to get your head around…

West Ham United vs. Swansea: An Alternative Preview

In West Ham’s last nine Barclays Premier League games at the Boleyn Ground, they have conceded exactly three goals (six times) or kept a clean sheet (three times).

Swansea have won none of their last five Barclays Premier League away games (L3 D2), scoring just two goals in that run.

Sam Allardyce’s side have won just one of their last 10 Premier League home games (W1 D3 L6).

The away side has failed to score in the last four meetings in all competitions between Swansea and West Ham.

West Ham have won eight and lost none of the last 10 times they have hosted Swansea in all competitions.

West Ham have kept 10 clean sheets in the Premier League this season, only Arsenal have as many.

The Hammers have picked up only nine points at home this season, fewer than any other side in the Premier League.

Andy Carroll is yet to record a shot on target in the Premier League this season in three appearances.

Wilfried Bony has scored six goals in his last six competitive appearances for Swansea City.

Adrián has been forced to make six saves per game in the Premier League on average this season; more frequently than any other goalkeeper.
