Premier League LIVE: Manchester City vs. Stoke

    Probable Lineups:

mancityManchester City (4-2-3-1): Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Kolarov, Navas, Y Touré, Fernandinho, Silva, Dzeko, Negredo

Manchester City will feel distraught by their 2-0 home defeat to Barcelona in midweek but will need to push for the three points and put pressure on Chelsea.  Good news is the Martin Demichelis midfield experiment is now over with Fernandinho fit again to partner Yaya Touré in the middle of the park.  Samir Nasri is also back, and could replace Jesus Navas on the right.  With 42 goals at home in the EPL, the Citizens will want to make their fans rejoice again after their Champions League disappointment.

Stoke (4-2-3-1): Begovic, Cameron, Shawcross, Wilson, Pieters, Adam, Whelan, Odemwingie, Walters, Arnautovic, Crouch

Stoke will have to beware of a Manchester City backlash at the Etihad and will be without Oussama Assaidi after he suffered an injury in training.  Mark Hughes’s men also don’t travel very well, obtaining only one away win all season.  They will look to hit City on the break with the pace of Peter Odemwingie and possibly nick a goal on a set piece through Peter Crouch.

    What the fans are saying…

    Remember this?

He’s considered a flop around the world, but he still managed a hat-trick against the Potters back in 2008!

    Fantasy Football Danger Man

    silva

Those that watched the ManCity v Barcelona would have noticed that David Silva was pure class and could easily be playing for the Catalans.  We back he will bring his form over and put Stoke to the sword with a breathtaking performance.

Stats to get you head around…

Sergio Aguero has scored three goals against Stoke in two appearances against the Potters at the Etihad Stadium.

There have been 10 instances of a Stoke player making an error leading to an opposition goal this season; more often than any other team.
