    Milan vs Ajax

AC Milan won their last game 3-0 at Celtic – last time the Rossoneri won back-to-back games in Champions League was between September and October 2011.

AC Milan would secure a place in the last 16 if they don’t lose against Ajax – it would be the 11th consecutive time the Rossoneri reach the knockout stage of this competition.

Ajax need to win in order to reach the last 16; the Dutch side haven’t progressed to the knockout stage since 2005-06.

AC Milan have conceded only one goal over their last three home games in the Champions League (excl. qualifiers).

These two sides have met 11 times so far in the European Cup/Champions League, including the 1995 final won 1-0 by the Dutch – the record is perfectly even with four wins apiece and three draws.

The four meetings in Milan (Champions League) have seen two wins apiece, with Ajax having the better in their last visit to the San Siro back in December 2010.

Ajax are the only side to have conceded three penalties in this Champions League.

Against Celtic, Kakà scored 2212 days after his last goal with the Rossoneri in the Champions League (November 2007 vs Shakhtar Donetsk).
