Glad you enjoyed it and yes if I being truthful you probably did edge the game as a whole and definitely deserved that equaliser, good luck to you too and hopefully we will both have something to celebrate come the end of the season

Thumbnail The season is now well under way and Coventry City have made an extremely positive start. Three games played and the Skyblues remain unbeaten with a win and two draws. Coventry’s first game against Dagenham and Redbridge ended with the skyblues narrowly winning by one goal to nil with a last minute penalty after what [...]

So it’s finally here, the time of the year that every football fan loves, the start of a new season. For most the new season brings joy, excitement and optimism. With everyone beginning the season on the same point’s total, promotion is a dream held by all. Even us Coventry fans usually begin a season [...]

Coventry City have finally spent a little bit of money in the transfer market with the signing of young Preston midfielder Adam Barton. A 21 year old, 6ft 2in central midfielder who has shown a lot of promise making over 50 appearances for Preston as well as representing Northern Ireland at full international level and [...]

There has been excitement among many Coventry City supporters over the past few weeks with plenty of new signings arriving at the club. Fans were beginning to believe that we could actually have a successful season but a 1-0 defeat to local rivals Nuneaton has caused a bit of a reality check for many including [...]

It’s been a busy week for Coventry City Football Club as they continue to prepare for the new season. Richard Keogh’s departure was confirmed as two new faces arrive on loan, with two more starting a trial and another close to being signed. All of this whilst the squad we already had completed a pre [...]

You are totally right in that no player is bigger than the club but i will not attribute any blame towards keogh for our relegation. Relegation was mainly down to our owners selling all of our assets and the few other senior players in the squad like mcsheffery, bell etc who constantly under performed. keogh [...]

In terms of questioning SISU, i think with everything that they have got wrong with this club i think its naive not to question SISU. In terms of King it is extremely relevant. I personally know what went on in that deal and it was not about money and king did want to stay. It [...]

It seems that with every positive comes a huge negative as far as Coventry City is concerned. A brilliant start to pre season with an 8-0 win over Hinckley and news that one of two European centre backs on trial with the club had earned himself a contract with the other expected to sign in [...]

Hi, I do get your point point but without the right kind of investment the club will never break even. We need to have some sort of success on the pitch to make fans come and stay with the club because at the moment them buying season tickets, shirts etc along with sponsorship deals and [...]

  • Coventry City fans had plenty to smile about last week with the arrivals of Elliot, Fleck and Kilbane to the club. These were promising signs for the club as both quality and experience were being added to the squad. After weeks and months of uncertainty on whether we were going to be able to sign [...]

  • Ben Leach wrote a new blog post: Cranie Departs But New Faces Finally Begin To Arrive At Coventry   10 months, 3 weeks ago · View

There has been some positivity around Coventry over the last few days as for the first time in a long time there have been more players coming into the club than leaving the club. The player that did leave was Martin Cranie who was out of contract and was always expected to leave as he is clearly too [...]

Yes totally agree he would be vital to us, still holding out hope we can get him even if i do feel naive for doing so.

Some positive news came about this week for Coventry City fans with the return of Richard Shaw to the club as Andy Thorn’s assistant manager. Richard Shaw is considered by many as a bit of a club legend after making over 350 appearances for Coventry City. He arrived at Coventry in 1995 from Crystal Palace [...]

Thumbnail The new fixture lists for the Football League were released on Monday and there is a somewhat different look to it for Coventry City. With Coventry now being a part of the third tier of English football there isn’t many fixtures that stand out as ones to look forward too. Coventry begin their new season [...]

  • Thumbnail There were very few positives to be taken from what was one of Coventry City’s darkest seasons in football. There was however a number of young players who came into the squad who performed admirably and one player in particular who really shone was Oliver Norwood. Norwood arrived on loan from Manchester United in the [...]

Thumbnail Another blow for Coventry City as news emerged this week that Cyrus Christie is going to be out injured for another 6 months. With the squad getting smaller we can ill afford these sorts of injuries to any players within the squad. We currently have nine defenders at the club who are in the first [...]

Hi Will, personally I think Platt is a really good player and should be brilliant in league 2. He is obviously not your natural goalscoring type striker but he is a real hand full for any defender. He is brilliant in the air and wins alot of headers and at times has shown he has [...]

Thumbnail More bad news came out of Coventry last Friday as Clive Platt decided to leave Coventry to join League Two side Northampton Town. Northampton are currently being managed by ex Coventry manager Aidy Boothroyd, the man who brought Platt to the Ricoh two years ago. Platt was also managed by Boothroyd at Colchester United and [...]
