ThumbnailWell, just over a week has passed since the West Ham United end of season awards for the 2012/2013 season, and what an evening it was. The whole West Ham squad was suited and booted and out in force at the Grosvenor Hotel, in London. It was a particularly action packed night for loanee Andy Carroll [...]

  • ThumbnailIt’s coming to that stage of the year where trying to find something to do on a weekend is going to become a regular thing. And with no World Cup or Euro competitions to look forward to this summer, what exactly do we have to keep us entertained in the coming months? You could don an item [...]

  • ThumbnailIf I was to ask you who Nathaniel Chalobah was, you’d probably point your finger to a stunning goal scored away at Leicester a few weeks back. And of course you’d be right on both points. One, yes it was an absolutely stunning goal. And two, yes it was scored by loanee Nathaniel Chalobah. For many years he [...]

  • ThumbnailAged just six, Islam Feruz was forced to leave war-torn Somalia and fled to Scotland as an illegal immigrant. Now, I don’t know about you, but when I was six years old I only had two issues in my life that needed to be assessed. One was whether my Dinosaur Tamagotchi was getting enough nutrients out [...]

  • ThumbnailBirmingham fans certainly have no doubts about the ability of Robert Hall. The West Ham youngster spent a good chunk of the current campaign at St Andrews after securing a loan deal in November. The move came after Hall was noted banging in the goals for West Ham’s development squad in the early stages of the [...]

  • ThumbnailThere is no doubt that a striker will be on top of Tottenham‘s transfer wish list this summer. The Spurs squad have been far too reliant on Gareth Bale for goals and will need to strengthen up on fire power, especially as their most notable striker, Emmanuel Adebayor has only netted three times all season. Andre Villas-Boas even [...]

ThumbnailIf you were to ask a child who they looked up to, or who their inspiration in life was, the chances are most of them would reply with a footballer. Your replies will generally be down to where Manchester United or Chelsea are in the league and will generally be whoever is the top scorer in [...]

  • Thumbnail“Two Gareth Bale’s.” “There’s only two Gareth Bale’s” “Two Gareth Bale’s” “There’s only two Gareth Bale’s” I’m pretty sure it won’t be too long before that witty bunch down at the lane start cracking out that clever little masterpiece during a game. In fact for all I know they may have beaten me to it, leaving my song old [...]

  • Daniel Prescott commented on the blog post ‘The Boy has Got Skills’ – Liverpool’s Samed Yesil   1 month, 1 week ago · View

Thanks for the feedback, Oliver. I did a bit of re-research because I couldn’t understand why Hertha Berlin even came into my thoughts when writing about him. A bit more digging revealed that he made his debut AGAINST Hertha Berlin, not for them. Cheers for the heads up!

  • ThumbnailWhen you make your senior debut at the age of 16 years and 6 days for a club with as much stature as Liverpool, you know you’ve been doing something right in training. And this is exactly the position young forward Jerome Sinclair found himself in back in September 2012, as manager Brendan Rodgers brought him [...]

ThumbnailUnless you’re a hardcore Liverpool fan you probably won’t have noticed Samed Yesil. That is unless of course you managed to tune into U17 World Cup back in 2011. If you did manage to watch the competition you will have noticed that the German took the tournament by storm. Notching an impressive six goals in just seven [...]

  • ThumbnailWhen told that your club is set to sign a highly rated young foreign footballer, it becomes somewhat of a tradition to type ‘said’ players name into a popular video based search engine. From there you sit back, wonder why the video creator found it necessary to set the video to a Katy Perry soundtrack, and [...]
