Don’t worry, he’ll see first hand that playing for Spurs is honour, he’ll see Verts and Dembele playing with huge smiles on their faces and think..Mmm, I’ll have some of that ta muchly!

On the evidence of my own eye’s I’d say Benteke was a far better prospect altogether. I watched all of Brazil’s game during the Olympic’s and have seen Benteke twice in the flesh and a few times on TV. We’d be gambling far more with Leandro than Benteke, and style wise, Benteke would adapt far [...]

Don’t need to look up anything-we are what we are, and simply cannot afford to buy or even keep WC players at the moment-or do you think a club with our resources have a secret money tree in the back garden?

Funny enough, I was just thinking the very same thing. If say 56m came in, that sort of money could buy us 2-3 decent players and probably still have some in the kitty. We played well on Sunday without him, and played well for the entire 90 mins. Sometimes there’s a tenancy to allow him [...]

No, you’re wrong-firstly the old UEFA cup didn’t have a league, it was simply a K/O comp and therefore entailed far fewer games-secondly it was a worthy comp because only the champions played in the European Cup and again only over 2 legs in a KO format-so that in turn made the UEFA Cup more [...]

Surely it comes as no surprise that teams like Spurs, Newcastle and Liverpool have all had indifferent performances after playing in the most worthless and pointless competition in football? The rewards for playing in the damned thing aren’t even worth playing a complete side of reserves, as you’d lose money unless qualifying for the final [...]

Have to disagree about Walker. For starters he’s improved over the past couple of games, and more importantly needs to play his way back into the type of form that’s got him the accolades from last season. All young players go through this-it’s how they come out of a dip that’ll determine whether or not they’re [...]

Steven Gerrard, Wayne Rooney, Ronaldo, Drogba or is only those mentioned lately that get the flack-As for Bale being a serial offender-perhaps try looking at his ‘dives’ first-in all cases contact has been made-he’s been booked for exaggerating the foul-unlike Cazorla where no contact was made whatsoever. And as for Arsenal players in the recent [...]

The most enigmatic player I’ve ever seen play for Spurs. He had everything but never had a clue how to use it to his or the teams advantage.

You couldn’t be more wrong in your generalization of football fans as opposed to those in the minority who go to rugby, and that my friend makes you as bigoted and uneducated as those you’re trying to critise. What you’re confusing are social issues, and as those who attend football matches far out number the [...]
