ThumbnailJay Bothroyd, Seth Johnson, Kevin Davies, Michael Ricketts and David Nugent are just some of the names who have all worn an England shirt to the supporters amusement. Needless to say, these average Premier League footballers were never good enough to wear the Three Lions shirt. Additionally, there are those players on the other side of [...]

ThumbnailSir Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger are the two finest managers to have graced the Premier League in its twenty year history. They have been responsible for signing some of the Premier Leagues best such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Thierry Henry alike. Unfortunately they have also been responsible for importing some of the worst players England’s top [...]

  • Matt Read wrote a new blog post: Are these rulings too relaxed in football?   6 months, 2 weeks ago · View

ThumbnailWhilst most sports have scoffed at the likes of cricket and tennis, it is now becoming more common in football that players are switching nationalities from youth to senior level, or playing for countries outside of their birth. As a result of globalisation, which is primarily a good thing for society, we are seeing the issue [...]

Thumbnail It’s fair to say it’s been a bit of a miserable time for Emmanuel Adebayor since making his move from Manchester City to  Tottenham a permanent one in the summer. As well as being absent for the first few weeks of the  Premier League  season with back and then hamstring troubles, the Togolese striker has been limited to just [...]

ThumbnailIn another eagerly anticipated weekend in the Premier League where there is sure to be high drama, goalmouth action and controversial issues to be witnessed, what is likely to ensue in midweek will appear a dreary damp squib. Yes, you guessed it, it’s the international break. Though thankfully, not a two-week break which makes us put a [...]

ThumbnailVictor Moses’ last gasp header to win the game for Chelsea in their 3-2 win over Shaktar Donetsk last night was another timely reminder of what a good start to his Blues career the Nigerian international has made. • Matt Read commented on the blog post Why the time has come for Andre Villas-Boas to unleash him   6 months, 2 weeks ago · View

Defoe is a quality goalscorer, I had a player who has averaged a goal every other game this season I would think he deserves licence to shoot. Additionally, I don’t know why Spurs fans are so anti Clint Dempsey. He is a proven quality Premier League midfielder and will come good over the course of [...]

Hey manu14, I’m interested when you say that nani is an individual and that he is more interested in embarrassing defenders then creating chances. He created 12 assists last season, the 2nd most for your side. This sort of exemplifies my point though that often he receives an unfair press.

ThumbnailWhat to make of the 25-year-old born in Cape Verde, applying his trade for Manchester United and Portugal affectionately known as Nani. Often ranging from the sublime to the ridiculous, at times he can set the footballing world alight with flashes of brilliance. Fans often remember his superb goal against Liverpool at the beginning of his Manchester [...]
