Some of the points you make are not very well thought out. Firstly, it’s difficult to compare season to half-season as not all teams play the same teams by a certain time in the season. For instance, Blackburn and Wigan are just now getting to play the top clubs where other sides have already done [...]

There was a time when I would never have subscribed to these kind of opinions . I’m of the old school and I still have some faith in my fellow man to do the right thing, but let’s face it, referees do give advantages to the bigger clubs. I have no stats to back up [...]

Artificial pitches are not in any way similar to grass but with the financial constraints that clubs are under to generate every ounce of revenue they can, they may have no alternative but to go that way. The ball bounces much differently and the game would change markedly, but advances in ball technology could compensate [...]

FIFA don’t need anyone’s backing in this instance. You have documented eveidence of several breaches of contract that in any one case, give Man City the option to sack Tevez. The problem here is fear and money. Fear because they are afraid that one of their rivals might just step in and snap him up [...]

By making Lampard captain, he has sent a message to his younger players that they will have to wait for their chance. How many freakin’ times do we have to be shown that the veterans that sucked in South Africa will suck again in Poland/Ukraine.

Even as a United fan, I’m not stupid enough to think that Chelsea were “humiliated” last weekend. In fact, they had enough chances to probably have gotten a point out of that game. You may want to tone down the rhetoric so that you become a little more believable.

I’m surprised that Ferguson made those comments. City were always going to get a tougher draw simply because of their seeding position. Group stages are usually a cakewalk for the better teams which both City and United have already proven.

They’ll both qualify pretty easily. Then the fireworks will start when the head-to-head ties begin.
