Holt, who was heavily linked with Aston Villa over the summer, has been mooted as a possible makeweight, despite his status within manager Chris Hughton’s first-team squad.
But, the club’s chief executive David McNally has ruled out the possibility of any of top players leaving before the end of the month, either via standard transfers or part-exchange deals:
“In response to (lots) of earlier messages, none of our senior players are for sale and won’t be included in any player swaps.” He wrote on his personal Twitter account.
Hooper, 24, has been heavily linked with a move away from Celtic Park this winter, with contract negotiations between himself and the club stalling.
