Whilst the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi dominate their respective field in the modern era, the 1990's was nonetheless full of wonderful stars who helped develop the Beautiful Game into it's oh so beautiful form today.

With many such assets deriving from the once thriving Italian Serie A – a league in which no way compares with its former self in the modern era – 90’s football offered showcase after showcase few would see fit to miss out on.

Although several of the upcoming players may have admittedly operated during the crossover period from the 1990’s to the early 2000’s, with the likes of David Beckham and Thierry Henry among many other missing out due to their increased proficiency in the following decade, this is a list that is still brimming with technical excellence from all angles.
