Stoke City's 1-1 draw with Everton yesterday evening will mostly be remembered for Peter Crouch's 100th Premier League goal - and his customary robot celebration.

But the 36-year-old's landmark strike probably wouldn't have been possible without the influence of one of the midfielders behind him who very much ran the game for the Potters, Charlie Adam.

The Scotland international was instrumental in the buildup to Crouch's goal, providing the pass for Marko Arnautovic's assist, and almost grabbed a set-up of his own with a rasping cross that nearly lead to a brace for the 6ft. 7" veteran.

And as our infographic shows, it was a real all-action performance from Adam, who played his part defensively with one tackle and one interception but also created three chances going forward, put ten crosses into the box and completed four dribbles. He also produced one of his trademark efforts from the halfway line, which almost caught out Joel Robles.

Adam hasn't always been a guaranteed starter at Stoke City, but the 31-year-old is amid arguably the best form of his Potters career at the minute. In addition to last night's performance, the midfielder's bagged one goal and three assists in his last eight Premier League outings.
