Chelsea look unstoppable right now. The Blues extended their lead at the summit of the Premier League to eight points on the weekend when they took advantage of major rivals Liverpool and Spurs dropping points, while not even a Diego Costa hissy fit could derail Antonio Conte’s London juggernaut.

However, a dark cloud is, according to The Sun, looming on the horizon in the shape of Thibaut Courtois potentially heading away from Stamford Bridge and relocating to Madrid, where his partner and daughter are based. The door, it would seem, is open for either Atletico or Real, and the paper reveal that senior players are already urging Conte to move for Manchester City outcast Joe Hart should the Belgian depart.

The England No.1 is currently on loan at Torino after being axed by Pep Guardiola upon his arrival at the Etihad Stadium, and even though the deal is only due to last one season, it appears unlikely that the stopper will be comfortable working with the Spaniard again.

So, is he fit to fill the Courtois-sized hole Chelsea may be looking at this summer?

Well, he’s impressed in Italy thus far. Granted he’s kept fewer clean sheets than his Blues counterpart (five vs. 15), but he’s made 52 saves and his distribution accuracy stands at 71% - both better returns than Courtois (35 and 69%). However, a saves-per-goal score of 1.92 is just over 0.50-a-goal worse than the Chelsea ace’s - albeit the quality of strike faced by Hart in the Torino goal may be greater, given that Conte’s team are notorious for not giving away clear chances.
