Manchester United have their fair share of superstars within their squad, namely Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but Red Devils legend Paul Scholes believes there is room for one more perfect recruit.

The former England international said this week that Real Madrid's German World Cup winner Toni Kroos would be the perfect addition to Manchester United's midfield, slotting in finely alongside Pogba and and Ander Herrera.

At 27-years-old, Kroos has a number of years left in him at the highest level and is now into the prime stages of his career, with the statistics showing that Scholes was right in his claims that Kroos would be the ideal fit in Jose Mourinho's squad.

This season, Kroos has contributed an impressive nine assists in his 16 La Liga appearances and has an excellent passing success rate of 92.1%- which would certainly see him thrive in a United side, where he can provide opportunities to Ibrahimovic and co.

Capable of providing the link between defence and attack, Kroos isn't directly a huge threat to the opposition's goal, as he's netted just once this season, but he wouldn't need to be in the United set-up due to the player's alongside him.
