It's been a busy few days for Louis van Gaal and Manchester United. Having already announced the signing of Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera for £28.8 million, news broke on Friday that the Red Devils are set to secure the signature of Luke Shaw for a reported £30 million. The arrival of the 18 year old at Old Trafford will finally bring months of media speculation to an end. The van Gaal era has exploded into life but more major signings are required if United are going to return to the summit of the Premier League next season. Although there is the small matter of the Netherlands' progress in the World Cup to negotiate, the Dutchman will likely be spending his spare time in Brazil scouting his high profile targets.
