Arsenal's north London derby defeat to Tottenham at White Hart Lane on Sunday has been hailed as a true turning point in the balance of power in the area and between both clubs for the first time during Arsene Wenger's tenure as manager, but is it all as easy to rectify as simply spending more money in the summer or do the problems go deeper than that? Their salary cap keeps them from getting like for like Van Persie and everyone who has left is making much more then Arsenal is willing to pay nad you see the team now suffering from it. Giroud is good but he is not Van Persie..Fabregas has not been replace and for that matter one cannot say that the current backline is an improvement on Toure and Gallas! They need to raise their cap and keep the ones they develop. The signing of the six English players this year is a start. They need to get with thte times and realize they are a world wide brand. Financial Fiarplay is not here yet and if it is enforced like the rest of the rules in this sport , it will be a joke too.

It was the rise of city that cost them after all how many players have city bought off them and then factor in the fact the Barcelona have had song and fabregas then there is not to mention a certain player called van persie in the past couple of seasons Arsenal have sold most of there first team and the kind of players they were and what they meant to the team they are difficult to replace and although wenger has done a good job replacing them they still need 3 or 4 players to add that little bit of sparkle they have been lacking
