Chelsea doesn’t have any better options at the moment. Benitez will be gone this summer when his contract expires.

I don’t think he’ll go before summer, but maybe that’s out of personal pity. Ruthless Abramovich has coaches scared to take the position, so I think he will wait till summer as to not scare his top long term targets away.
