I don’t think Liverpool have enough to finish in the top 4 this year, and that’s just fine. They simply don’t have enough depth to run the style Rogers wants yet. It’s unknown whether this style can be successful in England, but we will see in a few years from now if Liverpool get the signings to fit.

If Liverpool doesn’t take advantage of Tottenham’s striker issues and Arsenal’s inconsistent defense and finishes outside the top four, it will be a disappointment. They’ve spent enough money to be a top 4 club and the opportunity to move up the table has presented itself.

I think Liverpool will end up a little short – Tottenham and Arsenal are much stronger going into the business end of the season

Anything in the top 8 would be a success. This is a very young team in a transitional period so anything higher than 8th is a bonus and we’ll see next season how they get on.
